    Ink from Chase Customers Will Save on Rentals and Earn Rewards Faster

    PARSIPPANY, N.J. AND WILMINGTON, DEL. — Avis Rent A Car and Ink from Chase, the business card portfolio from Chase Card Services, a division of JPMorgan Chase & Co., announced today an exclusive multi-year agreement to offer savings and enhanced benefits on Avis car rentals to Ink from Chase business card customers.

    As part of the agreement, Avis will provide Ink small business customers with benefits for enrolling in Avis Corporate Awards, the Company’s car rental program for small firms. These include:

    • Faster reward days – Avis Corporate Awards members earn one rental point for each paid rental day. Once the threshold has been achieved, members automatically receive a Reward Day Certificate for a future rental. Ink customers can earn Reward Day Certificates at an accelerated pace.
    • Rental savings – Ink customers receive lower rates on Avis vehicles and discounts on amenities such as where2™ GPS navigation rentals.
    • Member-only offers, such as vehicle upgrades and additional discounts.

  • AVIS UPGRADES CORPORATE CAR RENTAL PROGRAM WITH LAUNCH OF 'AVIS ON LOCATION'

    Company Deploys RFID Technology to Serve Hourly, Daily and One-Way Rental Needs of Corporate Clients On-site

    Parsippany, NJ — Avis Rent A Car today introduced "Avis On LocationTM" to provide corporate clients with on-site vehicle rentals. Based on radio frequency identification (RFID) technology and pilot tests conducted with several major corporate customers, Avis On Location enables the Company to rent vehicles and accept returns on corporate campuses and at virtually any location. 

    Avis On Location is designed to serve the hourly, daily and one-way rental needs of commercial accounts and is integrated with clients' corporate travel rental car program and Avis Preferred, the Avis counter-bypass program. Business travelers simply use their smart-phones to reserve, pick up and return rental vehicles and an electronic receipt is automatically issued when the rental is completed.

  • AVIS LAUNCHES FIRST CAR RENTAL MOBILE APPLICATION FOR MICROSOFT WINDOWS PHONE 7

    PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Avis Rent A Car has released a mobile application for Microsoft Windows Phone 7 smartphones that allows travelers to make real-time reservations for rentals at Avis neighborhood and airport locations throughout the United States and Canada. The new application, available for free download at the Windows Mobile Marketplace, makes Avis the first company to offer a car rental application for Microsoft Windows Phone 7 mobile devices.  
     
    "We are committed to providing our customers with technological innovations that will enhance their rental experience," said Tom Gartland, executive vice president of sales, marketing and customer care for Avis Budget Group, parent company of Avis. "We are excited to launch the Avis application for Microsoft Windows Phone 7 devices and allow those on the go to make an Avis reservation anytime, anywhere."

    The application can be used to make reservations at Avis neighborhood and airport locations throughout the United States and Canada. In addition, renters can modify, view or cancel existing reservations and store profile information, such as their name, contact information and rental preferences via the mobile app. The Avis mobile application runs on Windows 7 Mobile OS and is specifically designed for Windows Phone 7 smartphones.
